Where we work

Vanuatu

Rocketship has been active in Vanuatu since 2015, when the Ministry of Health requested emergency medical assistance following Cyclone Pam. Since then, Rocketship has assisted with postgraduate medical education and clinical workforce support, particularly focusing on supporting rural communities through volunteer placements and training rural generalist doctors. Over twenty Rocketship volunteers (‘Rocketeers’) have worked in clinics and hospitals across Vanuatu, providing essential medical care and capacity-building services. Rocketship is now proudly supporting the first cohort of ni-Vanuatu doctors undertaking Family Medicine specialty training at Fiji National University, while remaining living and working in Vanuatu, with the assistance of the Rocketship Trainer Team.
